Before you apply for certification, you should consider who you want on your project team. Your ISO-certification team is particularly important as they will be responsible for getting your Quality Management System (QMS) ready for certification and ensuring that the rest of your staff understand how to use the new QMS.
You should also set out a time scale for goals you want to achieve. For example, you should set a date for when you anticipate the ISO team to be established, or when you want to finalise the QMS system. To set these goals, you should create a project plan template and include key ‘milestones’ you want to achieve, when you want to achieve them by and who will be involved in the project.
